Question 15 asks whether one or more research papers related to the study have already been submitted to academic journals or as contributions to edited volumes. Respondents who answer “yes” to this question are then presented with Question 16, which asks whether one or more of the papers have previously been rejected during the peer-review process.
The goal of the test was to determine whether the test persons understood the questions as intended or whether they had difficulty answering them.
Findings:
Eight of the ten test persons answered “yes” to Question 15 and were then presented with Question 16. None of the test persons had any difficulty answering the question(s).
- “Yes, only one paper came out of the project, not several. But that one was also rejected—several times, in fact.” (TP09, Answer: Yes, all of the submitted papers)
